My Mission

My mission is to provide a therapeutic environment where you feel truly heard, understood, and empowered. I aim to support you in exploring your challenges, developing effective coping strategies, and fostering lasting personal growth. I am committed to offering a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can embark on your journey towards healing and a more fulfilling life.

My Vision

My vision is to create a therapy practice that is recognised for its compassionate care, ethical standards, and commitment to client well-being. I aspire to be a trusted resource for individuals, couples, and adolescents seeking support, empowering them to overcome obstacles, build stronger relationships, and achieve their full potential. I envision a future where seeking therapeutic support is destigmatised, and where everyone has access to the guidance they need to thrive.

About Me

I am a qualified and experienced integratively trained therapist with over six years of experience working with individuals, couples, and adolescents. My journey in therapy began working for the NHS, where I provided school counselling—a role I continue today in my private practice. I offer online therapy across the UK to adults, couples, and adolescents, ensuring accessibility and flexibility for those seeking support.

Before transitioning into therapy, I worked for the civil service for 20 years, a career that provided me with invaluable insight into the complexities of human relationships and workplace dynamics. Additionally, I have several years of experience working with survivors of sexual abuse, which has deepened my understanding of trauma and healing.

I will complete my training as a psychosexual therapist in June 2025 and welcome clients experiencing psychosexual issues. My specialisms include working with individuals struggling with low self-esteem, self-worth, anxiety, and depression. I also have extensive experience supporting clients facing relationship challenges—whether in romantic partnerships, family dynamics, or friendships. For couples, I offer guidance on a range of concerns, including poor communication and intimacy issues.

Having personally undertaken extensive therapy, both as a training requirement and for personal growth, I understand how difficult it can be to reach out for help. Often, people seek therapy at a time of deep distress, and I fully empathise with the anxiety that can arise when opening up to another person. I want you to know that there is no shame in seeking support. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you will be truly heard.

If you are considering therapy, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can explore your concerns and work towards meaningful change.

Questions and Answers

Find answers to the most commonly asked questions about our services.

I offer individual therapy to adults and adolescents, couples and relationship therapy, and psychosexual therapy.

Deciding if therapy is right for you is a personal choice, and it’s completely normal to have questions about whether it will be helpful. Here are some signs that therapy might be a good option for you:

1. You’re feeling overwhelmed or stuck: If you’re experiencing persistent feelings of stress, anxiety, sadness, or frustration, therapy can offer a safe space to explore those emotions and find ways to manage them.
2. You want to improve your mental health: If you’ve been struggling with your mental health, therapy can help you develop coping strategies, challenge negative thoughts, and improve your overall emotional well-being.
3. You’re facing a significant life change or challenge: Whether it’s a career shift, relationship struggles, grief, or another life event, therapy can provide support during tough transitions and help you process and adjust.
4. You’re seeking personal growth: Therapy isn’t just for times of crisis. Many people pursue therapy to work on personal development, self-awareness, or achieving specific goals.
5. You want a non-judgmental, objective perspective: Talking to friends or family can sometimes lead to biased or emotionally charged advice. A therapist offers a neutral perspective to help you understand your experiences without judgment.
6. You’re ready to make changes: If you’re motivated to work through challenges, change behaviours, or learn healthier ways of thinking and coping, therapy can help you achieve those goals with professional guidance.

Remember, therapy is not a one-size-fits-all solution, and it’s okay to take your time to explore different options. If you’re unsure, it can be helpful to schedule an initial consultation with a therapist to see if it feels like the right fit for you.

Your first therapy session is an opportunity to get to know me and begin your journey toward understanding yourself better. Here’s what you can expect:

1.Introduction and Comfort: we will start by explaining the structure of therapy and the confidentiality policies. I’ll create a safe, non-judgmental space for you to express yourself openly.
2.Discussion of Concerns: You’ll discuss why you’re seeking therapy and any specific concerns you have. This could be about stress, anxiety, relationships, or general life challenges. I may ask questions to better understand your background, history, and goals.
3.Setting Goals: Together, we’ll identify what you want to achieve in therapy. This could be short-term relief, long-term personal growth, or improving specific aspects of your life.
4.Building a Relationship: Trust and a strong therapeutic relationship are essential for success in therapy. In your first session, the focus will be on making you feel comfortable and at ease, while we start to build a rapport.
5.Treatment Plan: We will agree a plan for how therapy will proceed, including the frequency of sessions.

Remember, the first session is just the beginning, and it’s okay if you don’t have all the answers right away. It’s about starting the conversation and moving forward at your own pace.

Therapy sessions last for 50 minutes.

The therapy provided is all online using Zoom or other platforms such as WhatsApp.

The number of therapy sessions you’ll need depends on a variety of factors, including your specific concerns, goals, and how you engage with the process. Some people find that a few sessions help them gain insight and make meaningful changes, while others benefit from longer-term therapy to explore deeper patterns and ongoing challenges.

Therapy is a collaborative process, and we will regularly review your progress to ensure you’re getting what you need. You’re never locked into a set number of sessions—it’s entirely up to you how long you continue. If you’d like to discuss your situation and get a better idea of what might work for you, feel free to get in touch.

Sessions cost as follows:
Individual Therapy - £50
Couples Therapy - £60
